Portable Sounds is American singer TobyMac's third album. It was released on February 20, 2007 through Forefront.
Background and release[]
For this album, Toby went for a slightly more CCM-oriented pop sound than before. Alongside the album, there was a behind-the-scenes video of the album-making process available. While the initial version of the album was released on February 20, 2007, a deluxe edition with two additional songs, which are remixes of Boomin' (Track 3) and Ignition (Track 7), was published on October 23, 2007.
To promote the album, Toby embarked upon a tour of the United States together with fellow artists Thousand Foot Krutch and Barlow Girl. On this tour, he also recorded his 2008 live album Alive and Transported.
