2nd Chapter of Acts are an American Christian vocal group,[1] consisting of siblings Annie Herring, Matthew Ward and Nellie Grieson.[2]

History[]

The band forned after the siblings lost both of their parents at a young age. The group were discovered by Barry McGuire, after which they performed backing vocals on his album 'Seeds'.[1] The band first recorded music together in 1973,[2] leading to their earliest recording experience with record label MGM.[1]

The band's first album was entitled 'With Footnotes'.[2] Further albums included The Roar of Love, Far Away Places, and the Hymns Collections.[3]

The band dissolved in 1988, believing that God was calling each member to different things.[2] After the group disbanded, each member worked on solo material.[1] The group re-united for a one-off performance in 1994.[2]
