We have a good friend named Trent Dilfer, an NFL quarterback who used to play for the Tampa Bay Bucs and now plays for the Seattle Seahawks. Trent’s kids have always loved FFH. We were his son Trevin’s favorite group, and One of These Days♫ was his favorite song. Last year Trevin was diagnosed with a rare infection that affected his heart and took his life within a matter of about 40 days. He was only five years old. This song came straight from some of the journal pages Trent wrote in the days leading up to Trevin’s funeral. Brian, who also dealt with a death in his family last year, wrote this with me, so it’s a very special song for us. We wanted to tell this story. | |
